Welcome

Hi - I'm Jenny, the creator of Ditzy Quilts! I also design and maintain this website which I hope you have enjoyed browsing. This page details some of the finer information or "small print"! If you can't find what you're looking for please email me: Jenny@DitzyQuilts.co.uk

For more details about how I got into quilting, and my background, please check out my "About" page. For ready made items click on the "Store" tab which will take you to my mini Etsy store. Alternativly, go directly to my Etsy Store by clicking here. I also offer custom work and commissions. The cost for these is largely dependant on how large you would like it, and how detailed it is, as this will affect how long it takes me to complete it. Payment:

If you shop via Etsy.com, I am able to take payment through either Paypal or direct via credit or debit card. These payments are handled directly by Paypal/Etsy and are secure.

Postage:

All ready made items ship out within 1-2 business days unless otherwise specified. All postage costs are determined by using the Royal Mail online calculator, to make them as accurate as possible.

UK Customers:
Items under £30 ship out via regular first class post in a jiffy bag/bubble mailer.
Items between £30-£80 ship out 2nd class via Royal Mail Signed For in a biodegradable poly-mailer.
Items over £80 are delivered via next day delivery with insurance and tracking.

International Customers:
Items under £40 will be sent via Airmail Small Packets.
Items over £40 will be sent via Airsure or International Signed For.
Please be aware of any import tax, VAT or duty fees that may be due on your order. I am not able to calculate or pay these for you.

If your item has not arrived within a week (UK buyers), or within 2-6 weeks (International) please let me know so I can help you track it down.

I recycle and reuse clean packaging materials. Please contact me if you would like expedited shipping and I will get back to you with a quote as soon as possible.

Refunds and Exchanges:

I love what I make, and hope you are delighted with your purchase!

If you are in any way dissatisfied with your purchase, or your item arrives damaged, please let me know within 7 days of delivery. I am happy to exchange or refund items, once the original item has been returned. Please contact me before returning your items to avoid any confusion!

I'm sorry, but any custom or personalised sales are non-refundable unless faulty. I will send you photographic proofs throughout the process to make sure you are completely satisfied before posting.

Additional Information for Commissions:

Lead Times:

For custom quilts my lead times will depend on any on-going commitments at the time of your inquiry. If I have no immediate projects due, lead times for quilts up to single size are currently around 2 weeks from the time we finalise your design and I recieve your deposit. However, please contact me for more details, especially if you have a specific deadline. Rush jobs may sometimes be accomodated.

Deposits:

I will require a deposit on all custom quilt orders. This will normally be 50% of the total cost, previously agreed in our consultations.

What if I change my mind?

If you change your mind on a custom order, and I have not yet put in an order for any fabric or items, I will be able to give you a full refund. If I have ordered fabric but not yet begun work, you will be entitled to a refund less the cost of the items already ordered. An invoice for these items will be attached to your cancellation confirmation with any funds owed to you. If I have begun work on your quilt, I will not be able to refund your deposit.
